The company of CEDIMA Meziměstí s.r.o. was established in March, 2005 by conversion from a machine-building plant belonging to the former joint-stock company of Strojtex. The history and the technical and technological know-how date back to 1958. That year, a machine-building plant to manufacture and supply spare parts for textile machines and to specialize in design and development of new devices for the textile industry was established. In the following years, the company, utilizing its production potential, diversified its range of products by products for the building and furniture industries as well as by some palletization products to be used in the car industry.

At the present time, production of cutting and drilling machines for its parent company of CEDIMA GmbH Celle covers almost 50 per cent of the Company's production capacity. Besides, the Company manufactures special textile machines, cavity floors and special partition-wall systems to be used in the building industry and in interior designing. In the area of machine-building activities the Company cooperates with quite a number of Czech and foreign companies. The Company's exports exceed 75 per cent of its production capacity.
